Our Five-Step Process

We use the following five steps to carry out a construction project successfully. Every step is crucial in making sure that what is envisioned, is realized. Within these steps, we will walk you through everything from start to finish: from estimating and permit acquisition, to contracts, PO’s, cost reports, budget management, and everything in between. We fill in the gaps so that you don’t have to.

Our goal here is to show you that once framed, the project is managed step-by-step, on time, and within budget. We employ the highest standard in checks and balances throughout our projects, ensuring the reduction of any errors that might present themselves.

1. Initial Consultation

Developing a clear understanding of your specific needs, illuminating concerns, estimating the project time and cost, and working out the feasibility.

2. Project Planning

Formulating the scope of the project; pinning down all estimates; complete resource planning; generating thorough permit processing packet.

More specifically, we will outline the tasks, schedules, and the proficiencies that set the parameters of your project. From this, we will gather an estimate of resource requirements, as well as their delivery, and assemble a complete permit packet. Quality assurance measures are devised and the project moves to the next step.

3. Execution

We build. Skyline manages all aspects of project construction; materials and contracts are arranged; change orders accounted for.

Once your project has matured into the realization stage, the necessary materials are ordered, and the right sub-contractors are brought onboard; we will manage each and every process from beginning to end.

4. Quality Control

This step is carried out simultaneously with Step 3 and includes an on-going assessment of all aspects of the project in order to ensure faithfulness to the outlined project plan.

We measure our progress in relation to budget, effort, and scope, to gauge where we should be. It is here that we are extra vigilant in bringing the project in conformity with our project plans; tending to the budget and specifications of all contracts. This is a continuous process that looks to correct errors, keep the project updated, and adjusted for the benefit of end-users.

5. Closeout

Conclusion of the project; you will be invited to a thorough walkthrough of your new space; we will work with you to make sure everything is according to plan. A Punch List prepared and mediated; organizational and client contracts are settled. This is where you get to enjoy your new space!

We will work with you to sort out the payments of all outstanding invoices, the settling of all project contracts, and the reception of a final permit – we present you with a budget report and proceed to client-side contract closeout. With the successful completion of the project, we gather our team to capitalize on lessons learned.
